German airline Lufthansa will cancel 800 flights from Frankfurt and Munich airports on Friday due to a pilot strike, Dow Jones reports.

The pilots' union has called a one-day strike at both Lufthansa and Lufthansa Cargo as a consequence of a wage dispute. The union has demanded a 5.5 percent wage increase by the end of the year in addition to inflation adjustments, while Lufthansa has offered a monthly increase in basic pay of 900 euros, equivalent to approximately 9,700 SEK.

According to the airline, the canceled flights will affect approximately 130,000 passengers.
