Norwegian low-cost airline Norse Atlantic has canceled all its flights to and from Los Angeles, citing high jet fuel costs, Bloomberg reports.

The airline will continue with its other routes, including flights to New York and Orlando.

The cost of jet fuel in the United States has not risen as much as in the rest of the world, as the country is not as dependent on oil supplies through the Persian Gulf, writes Bloomberg. The newspaper believes that Norse Atlantic's move indicates that the jet fuel crisis is now starting to spill over to the United States. 

California imports much of its jet fuel from South Korea, which is considering whether to redirect its exports to the local market. As a result, since the start of the Iran war, jet fuel prices in Los Angeles have consistently been the highest in the United States.
