British airlines as well as airlines from the EU area will automatically lose the right to fly to each other's territory in the event of a no-deal Brexit.
The British government warned about this on Monday, Reuters reports.
The right to fly to, from and within the EU, as well as between the US and the UK, is included in the Open Skies agreement, but the agreement is jeopardized in the event of a no-deal Brexit.
”"If the UK leaves the EU in March 2019 without a deal in place, airlines licensed in the UK and the EU will automatically lose the right to fly between the UK and the EU without prior permission," the government said.
