International airlines have canceled a large number of flights to Lebanon since the crisis escalated between Hezbollah and Israel.

Many airlines have already reduced air traffic to primarily Lebanon, but several companies have also avoided flying to Tel Aviv in Israel or the Iranian capital Tehran.

Emirates and its sister airline Flydubai announced on Tuesday that they were temporarily suspending flights to Beirut. Qatar Airways, which flies to Beirut twice a day, is also canceling flights to the Lebanese capital.

European companies such as Air France and Lufthansa have already decided to suspend traffic until October – in Lufthansa's case until October 26. The German company's flights to Tel Aviv and Tehran are canceled until mid-October.

British Airways joined the list and canceled flights to Israel until Thursday.
