The morning flight from Luleå to Stockholm has not departed on time – and does not look like it will be able to take off for several hours, writes SVT.
The delays are due to the airport being unable to use the de-icing fluid – because it is too cold.
De-icing of aircraft is usually done in winter, and involves spraying a liquid on the plane's wings to prevent ice formation.
At the moment, it is the flights that have been parked overnight that are affected.
– The planes are still standing and we are waiting for it to get a few degrees warmer. There will be delays and it is of course very difficult, says Luleå airport manager Ann-Christin Viklund to SVT's reporter.
