Flygbussarna is raising prices by between 20 and just over 30 percent from September 1, according to a customer letter. The price increase comes after Norwegian Vy, owned by the Norwegian state, took over on March 1.
Now that air travel has started to recover slightly, Flygbussarna is taking the opportunity to raise prices. The price of an online adult ticket on the Stockholm City-Arlanda route will be increased from 99 to 119 kronor, while the youth ticket will be increased from 89 to 109 kronor.
The ticket between Stockholm and Skavsta is being increased even more, an online ticket for an adult is being increased by 25 percent, from 159 to 199 kronor. A ten-trip ticket is being increased from 1,430 to 1,890 kronor, an increase of just over 32 percent.
The airport buses also run between Malmö and Malmö Airport, from Gothenburg City to Landvetter, from Visby to Visby Airport and from Stockholm to Västerås and Bromma, all trips are subject to price increases.
At the time of Vy's takeover, Flygbussarna had a cash balance of SEK 24 million, which was not enough.
”"The company's operating income during the period March 1 to April 30 is 20 million Norwegian kronor and the profit after tax during the same period is minus 30 million Norwegian kronor," Vy writes in the report,
