Police say the object may be an IED (improvised explosive device). The entire airport has been evacuated.

– I can only say that a suspicious object has been discovered in the security check. The entire airport is now being evacuated with the exception of those on board. Competent personnel are now checking the object. We do not yet know if there are explosives, we will have to find out, says task force leader Olaug Björnsen to the newspaper.
