A man armed with a knife at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris has been shot dead by police, a police source told AFP.

The incident reportedly took place at Terminal 2F. The man did not obey police orders to put down his knife and approached the police patrol when they fired shots, according to BFMTV. The man is described by the television channel as homeless.

Charles de Gaulle Airport is also known as Roissy.
