The region and the municipalities of Örebro, Kumla and Karlskoga will provide a total of SEK 43 million in operating grants to Örebro Airport in 2018.

The region and Örebro municipality account for the majority of the contribution, with just over 20 million kronor each. The municipalities of Kumla and Karlskoga each pay just under 1.5 million kronor for 2018.

According to the municipal government's proposal for the decision, the purpose of the 43 million kronor is "covering losses during 2018".
