Police were called to Arlanda Airport just before 6 pm on Sunday.

A pilot about to land then raised the alarm about a passenger who was on the flight.

"They had a passenger who was difficult to assess. He had behaved in such a way that they wanted police at the gate when the flight landed," says police spokesperson Ola Österling.

When the police confronted the man, he immediately resisted.

– They also had to call in more patrols, there was a scuffle with the police, says Ola Österling.

The man, who had flown from another EU country, was taken to the detention center. He is now suspected of violent resistance.
