Algeria's aviation authority is grounding Boeing's 737 Max 8 and Max 9 aircraft, reports Annahar TV.

It will therefore be prohibited to fly, land and take off these aircraft models in Algerian airspace.

The decision is described as a safety measure following the crash in Ethiopia on March 10, when 157 people aboard a Boeing Max 8 died.
