Nine airlines within the group plan to implement Amadeus Nevio's AI-based, modular solutions for personalized retail, order fulfillment and delivery management.
The strategy is designed to enable a unified order overview and improved service throughout the journey.
In a significant step for the aviation industry, Amadeus has been selected as a key technology supplier by the Lufthansa Group. Taking a leading role in the airline industry’s digital transformation, the Lufthansa Group is now looking to a range of modular solutions from Amadeus Nevio to support personalized services and more efficient operations.
Amadeus Nevio, a next-generation modular solution, will provide nine airlines – including Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa and Swiss – with flexible core technology to help them transform at their own pace. An industry first, the future implementation of Delivery Management will redefine the passenger experience with data-driven systems that support personalized services and more efficient operations. Delivery Management is part of Amadeus Nevio’s modular offering and is designed to work seamlessly with Amadeus Nevio Offer and Order Management.
Personal retail
Lufthansa Group aims to combine its own content and that of its partners into more personalized offerings that better meet travelers’ expectations throughout their journey. As part of the planned collaboration, Amadeus Product Catalogue and Stock Keeper will help expand Lufthansa Group’s offering and provide an accurate picture of product availability throughout the journey, supporting tailored offerings and improved customer satisfaction.
A single order
Central to the transformation of the aviation industry is the transition to Orders, based on the IATA Order Standard. Amadeus Order Management is designed to manage a traveler’s entire journey – including flights, ancillary services and third-party services – within a single order. This supports the industry’s transition to modern airline retail by providing a single point of entry to manage all purchases, eventually replacing tickets and passenger details.
Smooth service throughout the trip
The Lufthansa Group is expected to be the first airline group to introduce Amadeus Delivery Management, a key module designed to transform the traveler experience and airline operations. Features such as a digital travel passport and order fulfillment tracking enable passengers to be identified at key points during their journey, while supporting more intuitive disruption management and personalized services.
