American Airlines expects positive cash flow in the second quarter of the year.
It is the first time since the pandemic began that the company, which was burning around $100 million daily at its worst, has not gone into decline. 44 million passengers were flown during the period, more than five times as many as the same period last year.
”The improved liquidity is encouraging because it suggests that the future prospects are also strong,” says analyst Helane Becker.
