
American Airlines is in talks with aviation giants Airbus and Boeing about ordering at least 100 new aircraft, Bloomberg News reports, citing a company spokesperson.
American Airlines is reportedly looking to replace the oldest planes in its fleet. According to the news agency, as many as 200 more planes could ultimately be ordered, including commitments for additional purchases in the future.
Negotiations are described as being advanced, but no decisions have yet been made. It is not clear how large the order value may be.
