American Airlines will stop offering flights to four small American cities after the company encountered a shortage of pilots.
”"We will actively contact customers traveling after this date to offer alternative arrangements," American said in a statement.
The four cities are Toledo, Ohio; Dubuque, Iowa; and Islip and Ithaca, New York. Flights to the cities will cease on September 7. The airports raised their pilot salaries last week in an attempt to attract more workers.
United Airlines and Delta Air Lines have also reduced their flights to smaller cities in the United States.
