American Airlines said it plans to resume flights with Boeing's 737 Max aircraft by the end of the year. Customers will be notified when they are flying on Max planes, Reuters reported, citing a statement.
American Airlines will remain in contact with the US Federal Aviation Administration and Boeing regarding the certification process of the aircraft model.
It has previously been reported that the EU's aviation safety agency EASA is satisfied with the changes Boeing has made to the accident-stricken 737 Max.
The aircraft model has been grounded since spring 2019 after two fatal accidents.
