At the end of March, American Express will temporarily close the Amex Lounge by Pontus at Stockholm Arlanda Airport for extensive renovations of the lounge space. The renovation is expected to last until 2024, when the doors will open to a brand new Amex Lounge. During the renovation, members will be welcomed to the Amex Pop Up Lounge.
Amex Lounge By Pontus in Terminal 5 at Arlanda has been a popular hangout for American Express members since its inception. On Sunday, March 19, the lounge will temporarily close to undergo a floor-to-ceiling renovation. In 2024, the doors will open to a brand new Amex lounge.
– In 2023, we will begin one of American Express Nordic's largest investments and most extensive renovations at Arlanda Airport. Together with Swedavia and prominent architects and designers, we will build a new Amex Lounge, measuring 700 square meters, in absolute world class, says Philip Trocmé, Nordic CEO, American Express.
Starting March 21, members will be welcomed to the Amex Pop Up Lounge, which will be located at Gate F26 in Terminal 5. Members will be guided to the temporary lounge through physical and digital signage, and staff will initially be on site to show the way. Between March 19-20, Amex members will be served breakfast, lunch and dinner in the form of a ”Lounge on-the-go” at the stairs to the Amex Lounge by Pontus.
The Pop Up Lounge menu will be updated throughout the year and will feature cold dishes and a variety of cold drinks. Throughout the year, members will be surprised by seasonal features such as exciting collaborations with both brands and chefs in the premium segment. Centurion and Platinum members are welcome to the pop up lounges in Terminal 5. Platinum members are allowed to bring one guest and Centurion members are allowed to bring two guests.

The Amex Pop up Lounge will have the following opening hours:
Mon-Sun: 05:00-19:30
Breakfast: 05:00-11:00
Lunch/Dinner 11:00-19:30 (last order taken at 19:00)
