Scandic has recruited Anki Thorn to take up the position as Hotel Director for Scandic Klarälven on January 1, 2022. Anki most recently came from the role of Hotel Manager at Scandic Karlstad City. She will be directly tasked with continuing to build a strong organization and create new synergies with Karlstad's new sports area, Sannafältet Sportcenter.

– I am incredibly happy that Anki chose to accept the position as Hotel Director at Scandic Klarälven. Anki has held several senior positions within Scandic and the fact that she is now taking on her new role for our hotel gem at Klarälven feels fantastic as the surrounding area offers a unique urban development project in the form of the Sannafältet Sportcenter, says Kai Pasma, District Director for Central Sweden at Scandic Hotels.

Anki Thorn has many years of experience in hotel operations and has a solid background from senior positions within Scandic. She was previously hotel manager at Scandic Karlstad City for 3.5 years and has extensive experience in reservations and reception before that. In addition to continuing with strong team building at Scandic Klarälven, one of Anki's assignments will be to continue the collaboration with the local community, where Scandic in Karlstad has worked for several non-profit associations and organizations for many years, and to identify new synergies with Sannafältet Sportcenter, which will open in 2022.
