Apollo's ski trip sales for the 2026/27 winter are 15 percent higher than the corresponding period last year. Apollo Sports is now expanding its offering to include Jasná in Slovakia and Engelberg in Switzerland, as well as new catskiing trips in Georgia and Kyrgyzstan.

According to Apollo, interest in ski resorts outside the Alps is increasing, especially in Eastern Europe and the Caucasus. The tour operator also sees growing demand for off-piste, cat skiing and other experience-based ski trips.
At the same time, Apollo states that shorter and more flexible ski trips are becoming more common.
– A 15 percent sales increase is a strong start to the season and proof that our focus on ski trips is on the right track. We have built up an increasingly broad program in recent years and see great potential to continue growing, says Daniel Giray, Sports Director at Apollo.
Jasná new destination
One of the biggest new additions to the winter program is Jasná in Slovakia. The ski resort has over 50 kilometers of groomed slopes and also offers off-piste opportunities.
Apollo primarily promotes the destination as an alternative to the traditional ski resorts in the Alps. The organizer's package tours include lift passes and entrance to the Tatralandia water park.
Engelberg in Switzerland is also added to the program. The destination is particularly known for its off-piste skiing but also has groomed slopes and options for families and shorter ski trips.
Expanding investment in the Caucasus and Central Asia
Apollo Sports is also continuing to develop its offering in Georgia, where the Gudauri ski resort is already on the program. This winter, cat skiing will be added to Bakhmaro, where skiers are transported by snowmobile to terrain outside the groomed ski areas.
Another new feature is cat skiing in Jyrgalan in Kyrgyzstan. The trip combines skiing in the Tian Shan mountains with, among other things, overnight stays in traditional yurts.
– Many of our guests have skied a lot and are looking for new challenges and places that are still outside the major ski areas, says Daniel Giray.
Apollo Sports' winter program also includes ski trips to, among others, Bansko in Bulgaria, Alagna and Courmayeur in Italy and Erciyes in Turkey. Guided trips include ski trips to Japan, Canada and North Macedonia.
