It is now possible to apply for this year's edition of Tekniksprånget at Swedavia. The internship programme gives young, technically-minded individuals the chance to try out the engineering profession directly after high school. Swedavia has had a successful collaboration with Tekniksprånget for several years now, enabling many young people to get a taste of various engineering professions at Swedavia's airports.

– We are very pleased to be able to welcome new Tekniksprånget interns to this autumn's internship programme at our airports. Our participation in Tekniksprånget gives us an opportunity to reach out to and showcase our operations to future generations of engineers. It is incredibly exciting with the great interest there is in trying out the engineering profession with us, and it is also very pleasing to see that the number of applicants among young women has increased, says Marie Wiksborg, Director of Business Support at Swedavia.

The Tekniksprånget internship programme aims to inspire young people to become engineers. The collaboration has been appreciated by Tekniksprånget candidates, and interest in undertaking work experience at Swedavia's ten airports has increased significantly. Several former interns have planned further studies to become chartered engineers after their internship period.

Last year's applicant numbers were high, and Swedavia received over 300 applications for the five internships offered last year, of which almost half were from women. This year, approximately six internships are being offered within the framework of Tekniksprånget at Swedavia's airports.

For more information about Tekniksprånget and how to apply, please visit Tekniksprånget.

Tekniksprånget is a programme that gives 18–21-year-olds the chance to try out the engineering profession through a four-month paid internship. Tekniksprånget is also an opportunity for Swedavia to get to know tomorrow's workforce and to enable young people curious about the engineering profession to experience what it's like to work in the profession at one of Swedavia's ten airports.
