In the spotlight is the Greek gem Santorini, whose popularity has soared, but it's not the only destination that entices – the Spanish city of Alicante and the charming city of Gdansk have also flourished. Travellers are ready to explore new horizons and discover places that may previously have been unknown to them.
The desire to travel is high right now and many Swedes seem to have their sights set on some new gems. According to fresh statistics from the travel agency Ticket, some destinations have increased significantly in popularity, and topping the list is the Greek paradise island of Santorini with an astonishing increase of 288 percent. Santorini, with its irresistible sunsets and picturesque villages, has truly captured travellers' hearts.
What makes Santorini so irresistible? According to Vincent Goodbrand at Ticket, it's the unique combination of crystal-clear waters, the white houses clinging to the cliffs, and the romantic atmosphere that make the island a dream destination. Furthermore, the island's restaurant scene and nightlife have attracted culture and food lovers from all over the world.
