Employees and unions at Arlanda testify to a very difficult working environment in connection with the kitchen chaos that has prevailed at the airport recently.

”"People are screaming at us, they're swearing at us, calling us ugly things. Behaving really, really badly," says airport controller Ann-Sofie Nilsson to SVT News.

Overall, she describes the work environment as "terrible".

Ky Lindholm, chief security officer at Menzies Arlanda, which handles baggage handling at the airport, among other things, tells SVT that all employee groups at the airport are affected by the situation.

”"From check-in staff, to loading staff down on the apron. Then it means a lot more work," he says.

Ann-Sofie Nilsson says that the staff is worried about the ongoing summer.

”I have heard several people who are thinking about quitting.”
