German state-owned railway company Deutsche Bahn is looking to sell bus and train operator Arriva. Interested parties that have submitted bids for all or part of the company include Transdev, Keolis and venture capital firm Apollo Global Management, Bloomberg reports.

Thursday was the deadline for interested parties to submit their bids for Arriva. According to analysts Bloomberg spoke to, the price for the company could end up around 4 billion euros, equivalent to 43 billion kronor. 

Deutsche Bahn is simultaneously investigating the possibility of listing Arriva in Amsterdam if they are not satisfied with the offers for the company, writes Bloomberg. 

Deutsche Bahn bought Arriva for 1.6 billion pounds, equivalent to 18 billion kronor, in 2010. Arriva has 3,400 employees in Sweden and a total of 53,000 employees in 14 European countries.
