She will drive the development of our HR issues and the long-term leadership and skills supply for Scandic's 85 hotels and 7,000 employees in Sweden, and be part of Scandic's Swedish management team. Åsa will take up her new role in August.

– I am very pleased to welcome Åsa to Scandic. We are a personnel-intensive business and as such HR has a key role in the organization. I am impressed by her expertise in organizational development as well as culture and leadership, and she will contribute a lot to the management work and to driving Scandic forward, says Peter Jangbratt, CEO, Scandic Sweden.

Åsa most recently comes from Santander Consumer Bank where she was HR Director. Before that, she worked as HR Manager at Connecta Group and also has extensive experience from Acando, Capgemini and Ernst & Young as a management consultant.

– I am passionate about developing leadership and commitment while driving the business forward and creating measurable results by having a strong culture. Scandic is an incredibly exciting company with a recognized good employer brand. I am very much looking forward to learning a new industry and contributing to Scandic continuing to develop in the same positive direction, says Åsa Dammert.

Åsa Dammert succeeds Henrik Dider who left Scandic in March 2019. Pia Nilsson is acting until Åsa takes office in August.
