Pilot charged for trying to crash passenger plane

A casual pilot was sitting as a passenger in the cockpit of an Alaska Airlines flight flying between Seattle and San Francisco.

He then tried to take control of the plane with 80 passengers and turn off the engine, according to CNN.

The arrested pilot, identified as Joseph Emmerson, 44, has now been charged with 83 counts of attempted murder.
