After nearly two years without foreign visitors, Australia is now planning to open its borders to tourists.

On February 21, anyone who wants to is welcome to visit the country "down under," Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced at a press conference. But under one condition.

– The requirement is that you are double vaccinated to come to Australia, he says.

– That's the rule. Everyone is expected to follow it.

For much of the pandemic, Australia has been completely closed, but in recent months citizens and permanent residents have been able to travel freely in and out of the country, as have international students and people on special work visas, as long as they are vaccinated.
