Fashion weeks are currently underway around the world, including at Sweden's largest airport, Arlanda. On Friday, Terminal 5 was transformed into a large catwalk for a day as the stores at the airport's new Market Square showcased fall fashion for passing travelers.
Since Arlanda's new Market Square, the largest commercial venture in the airport's history, was completed in the spring of 2025, the airport can boast a wide range of shopping for all tastes and budgets, where well-known brands coexist with newly developed concepts with a strong focus on Swedish and Scandinavian products.
Among other things, several popular Swedish players such as Newhouse, & Other Stories, Syster P, J.Lindeberg, Fredmans and Chimi have moved in. These, together with GANT, Aera Fashion and Illums Bolighus, took the opportunity to showcase their products during a large fashion show that took place in Terminal 5 on Friday for passing autumn holiday travelers.
– What an incredible day we have had here at Arlanda together with our retail players. Lots of laughter, joy and appreciated comments from travelers who passed by and were able to take advantage of the large selection of fashion that has emerged here in Terminal 5. Our vision with the new Marketplace has been to make shopping an experience with unexpected elements. There should be a wide selection of stores here with a wide price range that meets many different needs and I think we have managed to show that we live up to that based on what we have seen here on the catwalk today, says Charlotte Ljunggren, Director of Marketing and Sales, Swedavia.
