Aviareps was founded in 1994 with the ambition to help airlines, destinations, and travel and lifestyle brands grow internationally. Today, the company is a world leader in representation and GSA services for aviation, tourism and hospitality, with offices in 76 countries on six continents.

–Our strength lies in the combination of global reach and local market knowledge. In the Nordics, we have a physical presence in Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki and Oslo, which makes us unique as the only GSA player represented in all Nordic capitals. At the same time, our customers can expand to up to 70 markets globally through simple and fast contact surfaces between the customer and us, says Tapani Kauhanen, Nordic Manager at Aviareps.

Aviareps offers a comprehensive range of services within sales, marketing, PR and communications, business development, IT solutions and financial services. Today, the company supports over 250 customers with everything from digital marketing, campaigns and media buying to events, crisis communication and air distribution. An example of the company's technical investments is Aviahub – a cloud-based distribution system connected to NDC, which enables modern and efficient air ticket sales.

The extended arm of customers in the Nordics

The company is in a clear expansion phase. In the Nordic region, the organization has grown from around 20 to over 50 employees since 2017, which has enabled increased specialization in areas such as PR, marketing, including strategic media planning and media buying. At the same time, Aviareps is investing in new segments such as air freight and food & wine.

In tourism, Aviareps Tourism Nordic works with representation of national tourism organizations and commercial actors.

–We act as our clients' extended arm in the Nordics. This means that we are responsible for PR activities such as press releases, press events and press trips, while also conducting B2B work through workshops, training, study trips and strategic media planning, says Pamela Pizarro, Head of Tourism Nordic.

Strategic and operational airline representation

Among the assignments are representation of destinations such as South Korea, Malta, Estonia and Georgia as well as cruise lines and international hotel operators. Aviareps also runs its own industry events, such as the recurring B2B roadshow Around the World, where international players meet the Nordic travel industry in several capital cities.

On the aviation side, Aviareps represents 26 international airlines in the Nordic region.

–We work both strategically and operationally with airline representation, from building brand awareness and relationships in the market to driving concrete sales. Our mission is to create structure, visibility and long-term growth for our customers, says Gabriella Walker, Director Aviation Nordic.

Promotion team in the travel industry

With a strong global platform, local presence throughout the Nordics and a constant focus on innovation and business development, Aviareps is positioned for continued growth. The goal is clear – to be the obvious partner for international brands looking to grow in the Nordic market and beyond.

– I usually say that Aviareps is the strongest promotion team in the Nordic region in the travel industry with full anchoring in the local market. Global strength is important, but it is local knowledge and our local contacts that in practice make business take off, says Aviareps Nordic Manager Tapani Kauhanen.
