Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) extends its partnership with AVIAREPS, the global leader in tourism, aviation and representation with 74 offices in 69 countries.

AVIAREPS will continue to be responsible for marketing and PR for South Korea in Sweden, with the ambition to further strengthen the country's position as a diverse and fascinating travel destination.

The renewed collaboration builds on the successes and positive results achieved over the past year. AVIAREPS has effectively worked to spread awareness of South Korea's unique culture, history, nature and gastronomy to the Swedish market through targeted PR and marketing efforts.

Continued growth in the Swedish market

South Korea is seeing a steady increase in interest among Swedish travelers and expectations for the future are high. The continued collaboration with KTO marks an important step towards further increasing South Korea's attractiveness in the Swedish market. With a continued focus on strategic communication and target group-adapted activities, AVIAREPS looks forward to contributing to increased tourism and increased interest in South Korea as a travel destination.

Expansion into the Danish market

In addition to the Swedish market, AVIAREPS is now also expanding South Korea's presence to the Danish market. As part of this initiative, an event is planned in Copenhagen this fall, similar to the successful event at the National Museum in October, which brought together industry players from both South Korea and Sweden.

– South Korea is a destination that continues to inspire and attract travelers for many reasons – its dynamic modern cities blend with its rich traditions and stunning landscapes. During the year that we have been working with KTO, we have seen increased interest, especially among younger Swedes, driven by the global success of K-wave, including K-dramas like Squid Game and the prestigious Nobel Prize in Literature awarded to a South Korean author in 2024. We are proud to continue our partnership with KTO and look forward to introducing even more Nordic travelers to the country,” says Tapani Kauhanen, AVIAREPS Nordic General Manager.

The expansion into the Danish market comes as SAS launches a new direct flight to Seoul from Copenhagen in September, further improving accessibility and making it easier for Danish travelers to discover the destination.

According to the press release.
