Long flights can feel tiring and tiring. It's common to recline your seat a bit to get a moment's rest. 
But now Delta Airlines prohibits passengers from reclining their seats more than 5 centimeters. 

Spending hour after hour sitting in an airplane seat can be incredibly tiring. Being able to recline feels like a given on a plane. But passenger space is becoming increasingly limited as airlines try to utilize every inch of space. 

A common standard measurement between seats on American flights used to be close to 90 centimeters, today it has shrunk to 76 centimeters to fit more passengers, according to NBC. Shorter distance between seats means it becomes more difficult to fold the seat. 

New rules for shorter flights

Delta Airlines is one of the largest airlines in the United States. Now they are introducing new rules for domestic flights that are two hours or less with the aircraft model Airbus A320. Previously, passengers could recline their seats about 10 centimeters in economy class. Now the distance is reduced to 5 centimeters, The Point's Guy and Expressen report. 

The new rules aim to improve passengers' sense of personal space. According to the airline, it's not about wanting more space to fit more seats.
