The travel company Detur was filed for bankruptcy in October last year.

Now the company is back with new owners, it says in a press release.

The Icelandic travel group Aventura Travel Group has purchased Detur.

–Last year's turmoil was extremely regrettable and damaged travelers' trust in the old Detur. The legal proceedings and demands remain with the old owners, says Mattias Hallén, Sweden manager at Detur in the press release.

He says that Aventura Travel Group has no connection to the previous company.

– Our goal now is to win back travelers' trust in the Detur brand by offering quality-assured trips to the sun, he says.
