This afternoon it's time for the tenth launch of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos' space company Blue Origin.

The unmanned New Shepard is to be launched from Texas, USA. On board are research experiments from the American space agency NASA.

New Shepard crossed the Karman Line at an altitude of ten miles, which is usually considered the boundary of space, in April last year. New Shepard is designed to carry six passengers on board for an eleven-minute spaceflight.

Blue Origin is one of the companies competing to provide space tourism. Its main competitor is perhaps Virgin Galactic, with both companies aiming to carry their first passengers this year.
