Norway announced on Friday that virtually all pandemic restrictions would be lifted starting at 4 p.m. on Saturday. This announcement resulted in a 50 percent increase in sales for the airline Norwegian, which has been hard hit by the pandemic.

”"The news is fresh, but we have already seen a 50 percent increase in the few hours that have passed compared to last Friday," says Norwegian's head of communications Andreas Hjørnholm to Norwegian E24.

SAS also experienced an increase in sales, but does not want to detail how large it is.

In Norway, a general international travel advisory has been issued for almost the entire world. It expires on October 1, in a week.
