Canada's second largest train operator Canadian Pacific Railway is buying Kansas City Southern for $25 billion, equivalent to approximately SEK 200 billion, reports the Financial Times, citing anonymous sources.

The deal comes in the wake of expected easing in trade between Mexico and the United States after President Joe Biden took over from Donald Trump.

The deal is expected to be announced on Sunday, the newspaper writes.
