SAS's interim figures for May - July will be released on Friday morning.

It is believed to be a blood-red loss – just over 1.8 billion kronor, which would be even worse than the 1.6 billion that the airline lost in the previous quarter. This is according to an analysis from Danish Sydbank that TT has seen.

– Everything is about the pilot strike, which has become very costly for SAS. It now completely overshadows the fact that air traffic has returned, says the bank's head of equity research Jacob Pedersen, who monitors SAS on behalf of the bank, to TT.

For SAS, the summer was supposed to be a golden opportunity to take advantage of people's pent-up travel needs - instead it became a chaotic summer with 3,700 canceled flights.
