The popular cruise will call at Härnösand on six occasions in May, June, and September.

- It's fantastic that we can continue to offer our visitors time for shared experiences in Härnösand and our popular High Coast destination. Cruise traffic extends our season and is important for our town and our trade. Many cruise visitors also tend to return several times, which is extra pleasing and a good commendation for both us and the shipping company, says Härnösand's Business Manager Petra Forsström.

The cruise season starts in May with two calls and then continues with two in June and two in September. During the cruises, High Coast Tourist Service, together with Härnösand Municipality, will be on board the ship to offer tips and advice, and in the harbour where visitors will be welcomed.

– It's incredibly fun to meet around 1,500 visitors in a single day. In addition to helping visitors on-site, there are many opportunities to inspire them to return to the High Coast. Many people are curious about our area and are happy to share their experiences with friends and family, says Maria Lundkvist, operations manager for High Coast Tourist Service.

The collaboration between the municipalities, Höga Kusten Destinationsutveckling, and the business sector has proven to be very successful.

– It is member companies of Höga Kusten Turism that are organising the onshore excursions. Together we put together packages with buses, guiding, food, and experiences, and we are happy to note that the arrangements are of a high standard and that travellers find them comfortable and good value, says Anna Hellgren, operations manager for Höga Kusten Turism.

The range of excursions is increasing year by year, and new for 2025 is a hike up Vårdkasberget and to Härnö Outdoor Lodge. There you can enjoy the view and good local food.

Birka Gotland will be coming to Härnösand on the following date:

5 and 26 May

9 and 16 June

8 and 22 September

According to the press release.
