Aircraft manufacturer Boeing will donate nearly one billion kronor to organizations supporting families affected by the fatal accidents involving the company's 737 Max plane.

The $100 million provision is said to be independent of the outcome of the various legal disputes following the plane crashes in Indonesia and Ethiopia, reports Reuters.

”"These funds will provide support for education, hardship and living expenses for affected families, as well as community programs and economic development in the affected areas," Boeing said.
