Boeing performs slightly better than expected

Aviation giant Boeing reported sales in line with expectations in the second quarter. The result was slightly higher than expected.

Revenue amounted to $24.3 billion, compared to the Bloomberg analyst consensus of 24.0.

Adjusted earnings per share were $3.33, which is 2 percent better than the analyst consensus of $3.27.

The company reiterates its full-year forecast of $14.30-14.50 in adjusted earnings per share, compared to expectations of $14.50.

The sales forecast is revised to $97-99 billion, from $96-98 billion.
