
Boeing Co., the world's largest commercial jet maker, is raising its long-term forecast for aircraft demand. The company, which dominates the commercial aircraft market along with European rival Airbus, now expects to deliver 43,610 commercial jets over the next 20 years.
The total value of the aircraft is estimated at 7,200 billion dollars (approximately 62,000 billion SEK).
In the most recent forecast, the delivery volume over the next 20 years was estimated at 43,110 aircraft.
For the next ten years, Boeing expects delivery volumes of 19,300 aircraft, up from 18,350 previously. But before the pandemic, the forecast was 6 percent higher.
According to Boeing's forecast, domestic flights will return to pre-pandemic levels in 2022, followed by normalized regional and international air traffic in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
