Bomb joke at Arlanda Airport – man stopped from flying

A man in his 20s was stopped from flying from Arlanda on Wednesday afternoon after saying he had a bomb in his bag, the police write on their website.

Police and security guards were called to the gate after flight crews raised the alarm. No bomb or other dangerous object was ever found.

The man stated that it was all a joke – but is now suspected of making illegal threats and has been turned away from the area inside the security checkpoint.
