Hotel and travel booking service Booking announces that it is about to buy the Swedish travel agency Etraveli Group – which is behind the booking services Gotogate and Mytrip and operates the airline service Tripstack – for the equivalent of SEK 16.5 billion.

Etraveli will continue to be based in Sweden and will be operated as an independent company, under the control of Booking's holding company. The current management team will remain in place.

Earlier this month, Booking acquired hotel booking service Getaroom for around SEK 10.8 billion.
