The booking site Booking has warned customers that a data breach may have led to their details being leaked, reports The Guardian.

An unknown number of names along with contact and booking details have fallen into the wrong hands, according to the booking site.

”When we discovered this, we took steps to limit the damage,” a statement said.

Booking has informed the customers affected by the breach. They have not stated how many are involved.

The company has its office in Amsterdam and lists more than 30 million properties around the world, stating that it facilitates experiences, transport, and accommodation for ”millions of travellers”.
