The Swedish-owned boutique hotel Ocho Suites & Kitchen in Palma is now launching a travel blog with the best of Mallorca.
The blog contains tips about the best beaches, restaurants, beach clubs, the best shopping and roof top bars.

– The island has so much to offer and we would like to share the gems with you, says Maria Eklund, creative director and co-founder of Ocho Suites & Kitchen. We always get questions from friends and acquaintances, but of course also from our hotel guests in Palma. That's why we have now collected our best tips for a blog, which will be updated regularly with inspiring content and tips.

The editors behind the blog are Maria and Johan Eklund, who have been living on the island since 2017, as well as journalist Shirin Djavidi, who has lived on Mallorca for five years. All three have a great love for the island and write about their favorites from different perspectives.

In the heart of the Mediterranean, lies Mallorca. A Swedish favorite. An island with many dimensions, which offers something for everyone. It is much more than just a sun paradise in the summer. It is a living island, during all twelve months of the year, where all seasons have their special place.

In the blog, the reader will be able to take part in the many events that happen during the year, where everything is gathered in one place. And that is a lot. For example, the locals do not skimp on the powder when it comes to celebrating a saint or a harvest time. There is a market for every occasion.

And because of the island's geographical position, it is also a popular venue for regattas throughout the year. Palma's port is one of the best and largest in the Mediterranean, which attracts many sailing enthusiasts. In Palma's port, as well as in Puerto Portals, Port Adriano and Port Andratx, you can also catch a glimpse of a lot of luxury yachts and catamarans.

The mountain range on the western part of the island is the continuation of the mountain range on the mainland, which goes down into the sea and up to Mallorca, forming the Tramuntana mountains. There are several hiking trails here of varying difficulty.

The island also offers several music festivals, tennis tournaments, bike races, marathons, ironman, classic car rallies, Christmas and New Year celebrations, vineyards, local crafts and much more. Through the blog, it is now possible to take advantage of more information and inspiration that Mallorca has to offer, both through an annual calendar, but also with many selected places and events.

According to the press release.
