BRA is strengthening its position on Gotland and today launches two new international routes directly from Visby with flights starting just in time for the holidays. Monday, July 3, will be the premiere of the new direct route between Visby and Denmark's second largest city, Aarhus, and Thursday, July 6, will see the first flight from Visby to Oslo. The new routes will be operated two days a week during the period July 3 and August 13.
We are very pleased to now launch even more direct routes from Visby this summer. Gotland and Visby are an incredibly important region for us and it therefore feels extra good that we are now connecting Gotland with other parts of Scandinavia. This initiative is fully in line with our strategy to consolidate our position as an airline on Gotland and our long-term plan for expansion outside Sweden's borders, says Martin Erkenborn, Commercial Manager at BRA.
The direct route between Visby and Oslo operates on Thursdays and Sundays starting July 6. BRA flies between Visby and Aarhus on Mondays and Fridays between July 3 and August 11. The price per person for a one-way trip is from SEK 999.
It feels very good that BRA is now starting two new routes that put Gotland on the map even outside Sweden's borders. This creates opportunities for new visitors from both Norway and Denmark, two target groups that are very important for Gotland. From the perspective of the Gotlanders, it will be convenient to fly directly to Norway and Denmark this summer, says Gunnar Jonasson, Airport Manager at Visby Airport.
To and from Visby, BRA flies with the fuel-efficient and most climate-smart regional aircraft ATR 72-600 with space for 72 passengers. When booking, there is the option to choose a Bioflight ticket with a 50 percent blend of biofuel.
