But now it seems airlines willing to take over are lining up. Yesterday, the newly founded Norwegian airline Leap announced that they were taking over – news that the small airport in Everöd was unaware of.

What is clear, however, is that the airline BRA will begin operating the Kristianstad–Bromma route.

”"Yes, it is clear that BRA will start flying starting August 27," confirms the airport's CEO Jonas Haak to TT and continues:

”"Leap has come out and announced that they will start, but it was surprising to me. But they are welcome to operate at the airport, like all other companies."”

Kristianstad Österlen Airport is 91 percent owned by Kristianstad Municipality. The remaining ownership is shared by the three municipalities of Hässleholm, Östra Göinge and Bromölla. The airport's main purpose is to provide air traffic to and from Stockholm.
