British Airways has managed to avert a strike by check-in staff. An agreement has been reached that will prevent the threatened strike at London's Heathrow Airport from happening.

”"This is good news for our passengers and our staff," a statement from British Airways said. British Airways' parent company IAG rose on the London Stock Exchange after the announcement. At 4 p.m. Swedish time, the share was up almost 4 percent.

On Wednesday, British Airways canceled another 10,000 flights this summer due to staff shortages.
