The summer flight chaos in Europe looks set to worsen further. On Wednesday, British Airways announced that the company would cancel another 10,300 flights due to staff shortages, writes Bloomberg.
The reason for the cancellations is staffing shortages. Like many other airlines, British Airways laid off a large part of its staff when the pandemic hit, which the company has not had time to address before demand picked up again.
British Airways parent company IAG, which also owns Spain's Iberia and Vueling, has fallen 33 percent on the London Stock Exchange so far this year.
Other airlines, such as Lufthansa and struggling SAS, have also been forced to cancel thousands of flights this summer.
