British Airways owner IAG is expected to order about 30 787 Dreamliner aircraft, plus an option to purchase additional aircraft, Bloomberg News reports, citing people familiar with the matter.
Earlier on Thursday, US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said the new trade deal between the US and the UK will allow British companies to export aircraft parts to the US without tariffs. In return, the UK is expected to buy $10 billion worth of aircraft from Boeing, but Lutnick did not provide further details.
Boeing's stock rose by just over 4 percent shortly after the statement.
