
The British variant of the coronavirus is now dominant in Denmark, according to the State Serum Institute (SSI).
In the past week, over half, 57 percent, of the positive samples from the Covid tests showed the British variant.
Denmark tightened restrictions a month and a half ago, precisely because of concerns about the British, more contagious variant. At the time, the assessment was that it would take over in mid-February. So that seems to have happened.
