BWH Hotel Group is expanding in Scandinavia and strengthening its offering with the new brand Aiden – a new modern hotel concept.
Aiden is a new generation of modern hotels where conscious choices, smart digital solutions and strategic placements are in focus.
”"The goal of Aiden is to create a new exciting group of modern hotels in Scandinavia. The hotel market is largely quite traditional and conservative, and here we saw a gap that our new hotel concept could fill. Now we can offer our travelers affordable hotels with a fresh, young tone that feels innovative and new-thinking. Here, efficient accommodation meets playful environments and digital solutions - it should feel smart, comfortable and conscious," says Johan Michelson, CEO BWH Hotel Group Scandinavia.
At Aiden's conceptual hotel, modernity is at the center with innovation, smart solutions and sustainability as a naturally integrated part. As an exciting feature, the hotels will work with holograms as a central part of the experience. With hologram technology, you can realize digital check-ins with personal contact while effectively maximizing employee engagement for a unique guest experience.
To reduce the environmental impact, many of the hotels are built using modules, which is a more sustainable way of building as the amount of waste is reduced and the building can be recycled to a greater extent. Here, the materials used come from sustainable sources and are in some cases recycled. To a large extent, the roofs of the hotels will also be equipped with solar cells, which creates a significant and sustainable electricity production.
Most of the hotels will be built in strategic locations with high traffic flows, such as universities, large companies and event venues. The first hotel, Aiden by Best Western Herning, will open on February 1 in the Danish city of Herning. This will be Denmark's first modular hotel and will offer 204 rooms, a gym with sauna, conference rooms and inviting social spaces to socialize or work in.
A handful of hotels are planned to open as early as 2023 in collaboration with CIC Hospitality, which is one of the leading hotel operators in Scandinavia and currently operates 20 hotels, a number of which are part of the BWH Hotel Group.
